Bondi Iovino & Fusco is a diversified law practice dedicated to providing individuals and businesses with high quality legal representation and personal attention.

Bondi Iovino & Fusco was first established as a true full-service law firm in 1973 by Joseph Bondi.  The firm name changed to Bondi & Iovino in 1986, and the firm changed to its present name, Bondi Iovino & Fusco in 2011 with the addition of Desiree Lovell Fusco as partner.

A new chapter began for the firm in 2015, when Joseph Bondi and Anthony Iovino handed over the reins of firm management to Desiree Lovell Fusco.  While both remain involved in the practice, Mr. Bondi and Mr. Iovino are now “of counsel” to the firm. More recently, the firm added veteran attorney Francis X. Moroney to our team.

Desiree Lovell Fusco, a 2003 graduate of Fordham Law School, is the managing partner of the firm, and supervises all aspects of the practice.

Our certified paralegal Stacie Waters actively assists with our estate administration and Surrogate Court practice, and real estate matters.

Our senior of counsel attorneys continue to provide valuable advice and insight in their areas of expertise.  Mr. Bondi maintains a full-time practice on site, and continues to handle the firm’s business law and real estate work.  Mr. Moroney and Mr. Iovino provide counsel to the firm while maintaining limited personal practices of their own.

We believe that people need legal counsel for “life’s events.”  Some clients, like a large corporation or an employee’s union, may need to consult with their attorneys frequently.  Others may need their attorneys for once-in-a-lifetime events, such as the adoption of a child.  Bondi Iovino & Fusco asks that you think of us on those occasions – marriage, death, buying or selling a home, retirement, divorce, auto accident or other injury, buying or selling a business, child support disputes, eviction, etc.

Practice Overview

Our practice emphasizes the law fields of Estates, Wills and Trusts.  We review existing estate plans, and draft Wills, Irrevocable and Revocable Trusts, and Advance Directives such as Health Care Proxies, Living Wills and Powers of Attorney, as well as deed transfers.  We ensure that our clients can rest easy knowing that they will be taken care of in the event they become ill, and that their families will be prepared in the event of their deaths.  The firm is very active in the local Surrogate Courts, handling probate proceedings (decedents who died leaving a Will), and administration proceedings (those dying without a Will), as well as more complicated matters such as Will contests, Accountings, safe deposit box openings, and Guardianships.

We also serve as the “lawyers’ lawyer”, as we handle a large volume of Estate proceedings for personal injury attorneys when their clients pass away, and we are regularly called upon by our colleagues for counsel in the Estate and Estate Planning legal specialties.

Bondi Iovino & Fusco has received an “AV” rating from the prestigious Martindale Hubbell publication, its highest rating, representing “very high to preeminent” legal ability and “very high” general ethical standards.  Desiree Fusco is consistently nominated to the “SuperLawyers” annual list, and has received the Avvo Client’s Choice Award for Estate Planning.
