Desiree L. Fusco, Partner

Desiree Lovell Fusco is the managing partner of Bondi Iovino & Fusco.  She joined the firm as an associate in 2005, was elevated to partner in 2011, and assumed the reins as managing partner in 2015.  She supervises all aspects of the practice, while maintaining a strong concentration in the trusts and estates area of the law.

Desiree develops estate plans for our clients, including preparation of wills and revocable and irrevocable trusts; she handles contested and uncontested guardianships; and she can represent clients in any matter before the Surrogate’s Courts, including probate, administration, accountings, and kinship disputes.  She is also regularly appointed by the local Surrogate judge as a Guardian ad Litem in estate proceedings, and she serves as a Court-appointed Referee in Supreme Court foreclosure cases.  She regularly teaches seminars and serves on panels regarding estate and retirement planning.

She is admitted to practice in both the Federal and New York State Courts; and she is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations, the Catholic Lawyer’s Guild of Nassau County, and the Columbian Lawyers' Association of Nassau County.   Desiree is a past President of several local chapters of  Business Network International. She is a member of the Surrogate’s Court Estates and Trusts Committee and the Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association.

Desiree is a proud graduate of Cabrini High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She earned a Bachelor's degree from Hamilton College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Union College, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.  At Fordham, she served as Associate Notes and Articles Editor of the Urban Law Journal, and she excelled in the Moot Court program, earning prizes in multiple competitions for both brief-writing and oral argument. Prior to and during law school, she worked as a corporate paralegal for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.  Following graduation and before joining Bondi Iovino & Fusco, Desiree spent two years as a Robert L. Doan Honors Associate with the New York City Housing Authority. 

Desiree is actively involved in local community organizations in the Five Towns area of Nassau County, where she lives with her family.  She serves on the Board of the Five Towns Community Center, and is Vice-President of the Inwood Civic Association.
