Anthony F. Iovino, Of Counsel

Anthony F. Iovino received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond, and is a 1982 graduate of St. John's University School of Law.  He is of counsel to Bondi Iovino & Fusco, consulting with the firm on litigation and non-litigation matters; and he limits his personal practice.  Tony is one of the founders of the firm and for over 30 years led the litigation arm of the firm, with extensive experience in family and matrimonial law, corporate litigation, personal injury claims, estate litigation, zoning and general state and federal litigation. 

Tony has received an "AV" rating from the prestigious Martindale Hubbell publication, its highest rating. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and the federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

Tony has served as an Early Neutral Evaluator as part of the Nassau County Supreme Court Matrimonial program which helped litigants reach early settlements, and is regularly appointed as a Referee by the Supreme Court in foreclosure matters. He has taught continuing legal education courses to other attorneys through the St. John's University CLE Program, and has volunteered on a number of projects at St. John's, including speaking at student seminars, serving as a mentor, and participating in panel discussions.

Tony has represented numerous community groups and non-profit organizations, helping to form them and representing them in both litigation and non-litigation matters. He has frequently represented community groups before zoning boards.

In 2006, Tony was honored, together with the former Surrogate of Nassau County, the Honorable Raymond Radigan, by the United New Yorkers for Choice in Education for his contribution to educational freedom in New York State.  In 2007, Tony was named "Kiwanian of the Year" by the Oceanside Kiwanis Club.  In 2008, he received the prestigious "Citizen of the Year" award from the Chamber of Commerce of Oceanside.  Also in 2008, Tony received the "Make A Difference" award from the Town of Hempstead, in recognition of his years of community service.  The Long Island Writers' Guild awarded Tony their "2010 Community Service Award" at their annual dinner in December, 2010, for his service to the Long Island literary community.  In May, 2011 Tony was named "Long Islander of the Week" by Newsday's Ellis Henican for his service to the Long Island literary community.  Tony's novel, Notary Public Enemy was released in August, 2011.  In 2014 Tony was awarded a Community Service Award from the Kiwanettes of Oceanside. In 2015 he received the “Kaiser Award” from the Kiwanis Club of Oceanside for lifetime service and was also inducted into the Massapequa Mustang Football Hall of Fame. 

Tony lives in Rockville Centre with his wife, Angela, and is active in community affairs.  He has served on the Boards of Directors of several non-profit organizations, including the Long Island Ballet, the Oceanside Education Foundation, Oceanside Kiwanis, and others. He is a former elected Trustee of the Oceanside Board of Education.
